• DWDM transmission
  The WDM-CASTER can establish thirty-two channel bi-directional Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) transmission networks with an optical fiber pair.
• New production for video, audio and G-Ether
  CU-172 is a new WDM-CASTER unit that multiplexes video, audio and G-Ether to one wavelength for WDM transmission systems.
• High optical sensitivity for long distance transmission
  The receiving sensitivity of each unit is below –25 dBm, which will be established for long distance transmission. And the optical amplifier unit CU-542 makes it possible to design and establish a very long distance wide area network very easily.
• Suitable for every network topology
  The WDM CASTER is suitable for every network topology, namely Point to point, Ring and AWG-STAR. AWG-STAR is a full mesh optical network with star-type optical fiber connections.
• Hot swap available management unit
  All the interface units and the double power supply units support hot swap functions for quick and easy maintenance. An SNMP can manage the network.
